Elstree Studios, an independent production facility first established in 1926, is extremely well located close to Central London, the motorway network, international and local airports, providing seven stages encompassing over 60,000 sq ft, the George Lucas, comprising the two largest at 15,770 sq ft each.
Elstree Studios have hosted countless film productions. In recent years credits have extended to The King ‘s Speech, The World ‘s End, World War Z, Paddington, Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and Man Up. Historically Elstree provided a back-drop for Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Shining, The Railway Children, Moby Dick, Dam Busters, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Superman and Labyrinth to name but a few.
18 minutes by rail to central London’s St Pancreas International, with Eurotunnel links directly into Paris and Europe thereafter, Elstree benefits from close proximity and easy access to hotels, restaurants, shops and taxi services.
With ample parking, Elstree provide all year round 24/7 manned security, together with a comprehensive CCTV camera network, specifically designed to give you total peace of mind during your stay. The Stages are utilised for commercial and promo work alike and have proven ideal for tour rehearsals; clients including One Direction, Robbie Williams, Kylie, Take That, Madonna, and many other artists.
Fortunate to benefit from relationships with ITV, the BBC and other broadcasters Elstree continue to provide homes for The Chase, Pointless, The Voice, Strictly Come Dancing and Big Brother.
